Snow Day!

So yesterday it snowed! And it wasn't the first time, but it was the first time Jaden got to play in it! He didn't seem too excited, but it was fun for me :) We played in it today, but yesterday I took him with me to get the mail and he was eating it, and really liked it! Here's some pictures...

All bundled up and ready to play!

Black Island Farms and Halloween 2012

So a couple weeks ago we went to Black Island Farms. It's a corn maze, but they also have animals, a corn pit, some play areas, and awesome slides. Jaden loved the slides. We didn't get to do much of the maze because its bumpy and I didn't want to deal with a stroller because of that, but Jaden had a tough time walking on it! He probably fell more than 20 times :/ But he loved being able to walk in the open field! And as always Jer loved taking a million pictures!

(in the bottom left picture I told him to put his hands up...and he did!)

The week after we went to a Halloween party. Jer wanted to do a zipper face. If you've never seen it they look like this:

Well when I saw it the first time I thought it was cool, but after looking at other pictures I realized it was gross...haha. So he decided he was going to do it with a clown face on the outside part. He started to get ready about an hour before the party, but it took longer than we thought it would! It took 45 minutes to put on the zipper, so we kinda had to rush to put on the makeup, and it ended up just looking okay. Also, we bought a clown makeup kit that came with white cream and colored crayons and the crayons didn't work on the cream! So we ended up just using my eyeliner(which after using a makeup remover wipe AND washing his face, he still had a little under his eyes...)

(in the bottom left picture the liquid latex was pulling his skin)

And then of course a couple of days later was Halloween! We were going to the trunk-or-treat at church so we dressed up again :) This time I told Jer to start getting ready an hour and a half earlier, and of course this time he knew what he was doing so it took him like 20-30 minutes to put on the zipper...so we had plenty of time to do his clown makeup! And better colored makeup! We went and handed out candy, and then took Jaden to a couple of cars. We told him to say thank-you(which he signs, but he does it like he's blowing kisses) and pretty much no one knew he was saying it...haha. But we knew :)

Just a little update about Jaden. He says a good amount of words. Here's a list:
mama
dada
uh-oh
wow (a favorite of his)
woah
ew
stinky
cheese
yay
 hi

And when we tell him to he says ta-da, meow and trick or treat. And just recently I love you! although it sounds like Ilo-ooo. I'm pretty sure I missed a couple of them...I just cant remember. Jer taught him ew and stinky by smelling his feet and saying it. So now if you tell him to smell his feet he will and say it! He does patty cake and does all the actions for "If Your Happy and You Know It" although for hooray he just says YAY! But he loves to do it :) He knows please, thank-you, more, all done, and eat in sign language, but lately he just does eat when we ask him to say more. And thanks to Grandma Keplinger he will blow kisses! We skyped with them and she started to blow kisses to him and he did it back! He loves to dance to "Hot Dog" from The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He loves animals. Everyone he sees he either growls or does a high pitched dog bark. And he has all his teeth except his 2 year molars!! He's just a happy, healthy growing boy. We have his 15 months checkup on Monday(I know it's way late, but I kept forgetting to call) so I'll update with weigh and height then. Here's some more pictures of him just because he's so cute and we can't help taking pics of him :)

Tracy Aviary

Yesterday we had the opportunity to go to the Tracy Aviary in Salt Lake. They had a good amount of birds, and Jaden liked to look at the birds! After we went to the park right by it. It was pretty much the coolest park I've ever seen! They had two different play areas, a splash park, a musical area, and they had swings for disabled children. They were like big kid size of the baby ones you get for your own home. Anyway, Jaden loved the swing. He was laughing pretty much the whole time! All in all it was a pretty great day :)

the Flamingos were fighting! It was kind of fun to watch...haha.

It took 4 tries...but we got one of him (kind of)smiling!

 from the bird show

Gotta teach him early :)

Playing catch up...

Well two weeks ago when I was supposed to update this... we all came down with the stomach flu :( Luckily it wasn't too bad and Jaden didn't have it too bad, but it was tough being achy all day and having a baby to take care of! Yuck! Anyway, I'm ready to post about the last 2 months! haha. In the middle of July was the annual Scholes ( my Grandma Waite's family) reunion in Logan. My family came up for it and it was fun! Jaden got to meet his Aunt Melissa and cousins Strider and Braven for the first time! While they were here Jaden had some cake :) He didn't really try to dig in...boring. It was so great for me to have my sister to play with and Jaden to have his cousins (Addison was here too!) I can't wait till Melissa and the boys are up here so we can have play dates ( for the kids AND moms) more often! Oh and just before the reunion we went to a concert, with Jaden! It was for a band (Vocal Few) that's actually a couple. The husband is in the band The Classic Crime, and Jer has listened to them for a while now. Well she got pregnant and they needed a little extra income so they decided to put an EP out and voila! They're really good (check them out!). They did a "living room tour" where people let the use their home as a stage and performed for about 40 people. So we took Jaden to his first concert! It was really nice and their little girl is ADORABLE! She was loving hearing her mommy and daddy sing. I've been trying to do some new things with Jaden. I haven't been able to do too much yet, but we have done some art projects! He's colored a few pictures with crayons and even did finger painting once. He seems too like coloring, he got my notebook and a closed pen and tried coloring earlier :) Jer and I had the opportunity to go and see The Classic Crime last month. He was SO excited when he found out that they were going to be in Utah, he bought the tickets right away! It was a nice night out without a baby. Last, but not least, we were able to go the the Brigham City Temple open house this afternoon. It was absolutely beautiful. On the way to the temple from parking the volunteer on the bus said that there's already 60 weddings booked for the next month! And it's not even open yet! All in all the last couple months have been busy, but wonderful. Jaden is just growing every day and I love it.

Addy, Strider, and Braven!

Taking a bath with the cousins!

 Cake time!

The Classic Crime

Food!! He loves to make messes for mom :) and hates his veggies! (I mixed the corn in with mac n cheese in hopes it would sneak past his taste buds, and that was the outcome-top right.)

 finger painting!

play time! that "A" toy stands up very well, and he kept making it do so!

first time hitting a pinata! and his face when he got a Mickey Mouse night light!

after he fell asleep for a nap, I went to check on him and this is what I found...

who can't love that face??

One month later...

Yeah it's kinda late, but... Jaden's one! At his one year appointment he was 29 1/2 inches and 21.4 pounds. Poor boy had to get blood taken (which actually didn't bother him at all, he was very intrigued by it) and SIX shots. The first one he was fine, then it was all madness! But once we picked him up he calmed down. Anyway...here's his one year pictures :)

sorry for all the pictures... I just love them all :) I have a lot more stuff to catch up on and hopefully I can do it all on Sunday!
