Fun in July

So I'm going to try to write a post every Sunday. Unless something spectacular happens in the middle of the week :) So... Jaden just learns something new everyday. Well almost everyday. He now knows how to climb onto the futon (so he can get controllers and phones that we're trying to keep away from him). He climbs the stairs, which he's actually done for a while, I just forgot to mention it. He walks so well now and can not sit still, which makes church extra hard. He's starting to do better going to sleep. For a couple of weeks we would just leave him alone in the playpen in the same room as us and he eventually would fall asleep all on his own. The last couple of days I've put him in his crib and shut the door for naps and bed time and every time (except for last night) he fell asleep on his own! The first day it took about 30 minutes, but every other time (again, not last night...it took him an hour...) he was out in 10 minutes or even sooner! I'm one happy mama :) And today was the first time he used a spoon! He obviously didn't do too well, but he wanted to do all on his own. He would let us help him, but when I tried to just do it by myself he started throwing a fit. Which he is a pro at. Fit throwing... We got a mini pool for Jaden to cool off in on those super hot days. He usually loves water (he rushes to the bathroom if he hears the tun turn on) but since the pool is in the grass, he's more interested in that. Oh and Fourth of July was pretty fun. We just stayed home all day and went to watch the Clearfield firework show at night. We've gone to that show every year now! Jaden liked the fireworks for probably about 5 minutes, then he got antsy and cranky (it was 10 at night) and wouldn't sit still unless we let him play with the tablet. It didn't help that the show was about 35 minutes long! At least it wasn't 15 seconds :p
